Mumbai: The raging Box Office success of ‘Mayakkam Enna’ has taken Dhanush by complete surprise.

Talking to a daily on his film’s instant success, Dhanush said, “I’m overwhelmed. Thanks for accepting ‘Mayakkam Enna’ and myself as Karthick Swaminathan. The film is still haunting me, first time a movie of mine has such an effect on me. Some emotions are deeper than we expect. I’m stuck there.”

“‘Mayakkam Enna’ deals with why you should leave few artistes in their own world. What an artiste`s mind is and how important it is for an artiste to believe in his dreams. Success doesn’t happen overnight, neither by luck nor by an opportunity. It happens by the belief you`ve built within yourself for ages. Karthick Swaminathan is a reflection of millions of such youngsters,” he added.

In ‘Mayakkam Enna’, Dhanush plays a photographer who is passionate about his work more than anything else in his life. The film is the journey of Karthick Swaminathan from anonymity to fame.
